happy baby girl. (overload)

the other day, i was taking videos of Ava on my phone. she was so happy and talkative, so i went a little overboard. usually when i get the camera out, she clams up and stares at the camera in wonder.

here are some videos i have taken on my phone... i tried to upload them directly from the phone, but it was not happening. even getting them uploaded from the computer to the blog has been a little bit of a chore. that's what happens when you let ladies use technology...

these are from a few weeks ago... i took a cute one of her today whilst she enjoyed some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so i'm sure i'll have it uploaded by the time she's a year old...

at the aquarium of the pacific

on wednesday, mom, Janica, Emily, Allyson, Ava and I ventured to Long Beach to visit the Aquarium. We had so much fun visiting the fishies. we even got to touch some of them! the girls were too scared to pet the sharks or the eels, but they touched another kind of fish... (i don't remember what. i keep thinking jellyfish, but that can't be right... right?)

anyway, the girls loved it. Ava was mesmorized by the fish tanks - especially the ones with vibrantly colored fish. At one point, my mom repositioned Ava on her shoulder so she was facing away from the tanks. Ava did not think kindly of that! she wanted to see and explore!

by the way, Gabe and I took Emily to the aquarium two years ago. Ahhh, memories. :)

3 months.

Ava is 3 months old today!

she is getting so big... she didn't have a doctor's appointment this month, so i don't have official stats... i have stats measured at home.

weight: 15 lbs

height: 24 inches

you can compare that to her two month stats here.

here are some updates on our sweet baby Ava:

• she's out of size 1 diapers
• she's out of size 3 months, she's out of many 3-6 months... bring on the 6 month size!
• she loves to sit in her Bumbo seat
• she laughs. it's hilarious.
• she loves bathtime.
• she's very strong and can hold her head much better. she can even sit up (propped against something)
• we can put her hair in a little ponytail.
• she gets ridiculously happy watching Yo Gabba Gabba (much to my dismay)

we've been getting out and having fun...

on April 21st, we did the Seal Beach 5k. It was such a fun day! Ava slept through it...

Ever since the Johnson Family Spring Break Extravaganza 2012, we've been in the mood to go bowling again... Behold, date night:
